WHAT PRECAUTIONS DO YOU TAKE IN HIRING STAFF?

We are very particular in who we hire. All sitters undergo extensive interviews and a professional screening process that checks for criminal history . In addition all personal and work references are checked and all have previous pet care experience. Once that is all out of the way, our final test is asking ourseleves the question?Would we feel comfortable giving this person the key to our own home and allow them to care for our pets. All sitters must be certified in Pet First Aid. You can click here to get to know a little about our sitters.

WHY SHOULD I NOT HIRE MY NEIGHBORS CHILD, A LOW COST PET SITTER, NEIGHBOR OR FRIEND?

You really do get what you pay for. A child is not an experienced pet care professional. Ask yourself these questions? Will they be able to tell the signs of illness in your pet and know how to respond? How will they transport them to a vet if the need arises? Will they even remember to come by? Can they really be expected to follow feeding and medication directions? Low cost pet sitters are usually just wanting some extra money. Many do not realize how much work is involved and the long hours associated with pet sitting and may burn out quickly. Some may have a full-time job they must work around or they may find something better to do with their weekends when you need them the most. They probably are not Insured and Bonded for your protection. Friends and relatives live busy lives. Ask yourself if your pet deserves the best of care. Hire a Professional and save time and headaches. We will be there when you need us!

WILL I GET THE SAME SITTER EACH TIME I TRAVEL?

We will always offer you the same sitter. If the sitter is not available a fully informed substitute sitter will be available for back up. Any substitutions will be communicated prior to service and are subject to your approval.

HOW WILL I KNOW THAT MY SITTER HAS COMPLETED THE VISITS?

All sitters are required to mark their jobs complete so we know they have been to your home. Our pet sitters also leave a daily log of their visits.

WHAT TIMES WILL YOU VISIT

We cannot guarantee a specific time of arrival due to personal emergencies, driving distances, weather and pet emergencies, unforseen situations or traffic. However we will ask for time variables and will always try to accommodate your request within that time frame.

CAN I HIRE MY SITTER DIRECTLY WITHOUT CALLING THE OFFICE?

No. Our staff is prohibited from soliciting or accepting employment apart from Wags and Wiggles and have signed a contract to this effect. It would be unethical and dishonest if they accepted employment directly from one of our clients, not to mention the legal issues.

If you are unable to provide 2 keys at the Meet and Greet we will need to return and there will be a key pick-up fee for this extra service.n. DO YOU PROVIDE EVERY OTHER DAY VISITS FOR CATS & DOGS?

We DO NOT do every other day visits. As experts in pet care we know cats have sensitive systems, if one were to be in distress for as much as 24 hours, a very manageable condition could quickly turn into a life threatening situation. Cats being curious by nature can get into trouble if not monitored daily, they may dump their water, or have "a sudden unexpected health issue. We want only the best for your pet (s)!. Dogs will require a minimum of 2 visits per day though we do recommend 3 for their comfort. Our policy is no dog will go for more than 12 hours without a potty break.

We accept Cash, Checks, Visa, MasterCard, and full payment is required in advance.
